How High   Clouds are neighbors Birds are friends Meer seconds until we meet again   Fear may invoke Do not look down Walkers press the mesh to the ground
I come from a small shell And I was content to stay But I was watching my high school years As they slowly withered away   So I tried my luck And decided to audition
They help me when I struggle, They comfort me when I’m stressed, But most of all they put up with me, And for that they are the best. They pick me up when I have fallen, They cheer me on when I’m at my best,
Batter, batter, batter There's a new kid in town. You shove me, put me down. Afraid to be dethroned. You're blind with fear. But, I am my own. Called me names. Try to rule those new to town.
A jigsaw puzzle, is just like a person’s life. Pieces are missing. Starting off it is very hard, A masterpiece at the end
In this life, we are fighters In our world, they tried to deny us. Time is running out for us We don’t have forever We do not have any time to reconsider We need to make a decision now!
Two years----last time I saw you Thinking and thinking what my life would be if our paths never crossed You seeing something I could not see in myself Seeing a shy, insecure girl in your science class
you do not define me BUT..... you make me almost late for class
words are a lie there no such thing as life being sweet like pie words crush you down into the ground they break you until you scream in pain yelling OW words are a simple thing

Summer fled this reality Too content with leisure’s spent In pools, the emptied schools, the desolate hallways But I I returned happily To the back breaking work
I remember once A story about magic and friendship Love and loss In the story they told me How in a land long ago The earth could breathe Could speak to you if only you paid attention
I’m not really sure how to write a poem about what I love,What makes me laugh,What I’m proud of,Or what I’m awesome at, because that would be an incredibly long poem… But I do know how to make a wicked list.
I've come to understand the power of being too quick to draw conclusions.   Growing up I used to go into situations with preexisting assumptions,   Shutting out ideas I couldn't relate to or accepted
From all the stars in every galaxy,to the electronic melodyof every song that comes through my eardrums. From every relaxing activity
To be happy:   sip coffee in the crisp, early mornings before crawling out of bed. skype until 3am just to see your person laugh a thousand miles away.
Sitting in my room as the clock goes tick tock,
Life starts with trouble that takes over the soul. It leaves you breathless and an empty hole,   It can't be filled with concrete or cement. It can't be stopped from growing or causing pain
Spit on the back of a Barbed Halo They intend to break something they wont As they pound on false salvation Soon begins slow suffocation Other knees broke speeding the process
It's him who makes me happy. It's him who makes me whole. I love him more than life itself, and his name,
You complete me. It's not just some high school romance. It's you and I Together. The way you smile The way you laugh The way you cry; It all makes you beautiful.
It’s hard to remember anything about beauty when we feel the world weighing down in our stomachs.
Thump, thump, thump What began as a soft melody like the honey caressing the tongue before swallowed whole The winds clash to dishevel her Disoriented, and whispers heard bouncing off the wall
If you want the world to glow, you have to have a spark.  I’ve got the spunk and sparkle to chase away the dark.
Lights Flashing, beaming, blinding, multicolored, bright… This is what I zone in on, when I take the mic tonight.   The applause and cheers fading into a soothing hum.
Its her aspirations that drive her determination and inspires her to be greater. Hard work and dedication, shes commited to versification, on the everlasting road to riches she's trying to make it.
It is not something easily grasped. There is no purchase to be held on to, Not a divet or crook. Not the smallest form of tangibility. Yet it can be felt. It can touch but it can't be touched.
Come and take this magnificent journey, Though my life may seem a little blurry
Before I was, He is Beautifully and wonderfully made I am his When I was lost, he came running to my aid I can never comprehend how he forgave for shedding the blood of Abel
It's not that I was your cure Or you were my disease Not that I was saving you As you were killing me   It's not your illness Or your dangerous and deadly ways Not that I'm sick

Up-up-down-up, Is the way my bow swings. Down-down-up-down, Is the ways my bow sings. Across my cello she sails, Surfing a whimsical, musical sea. The confident captain of her ship,

I am tired of the average poem,
The green grass, the blue sky, the cool streams of water, the flowers, the birds and the bees, Picturesque paradise in a faraway land of lakes and of mountains and trees.
The books sit in the corner collecting dust Don't tell me I must Don't tell me I have to sit there for hours I'd much rather be picking a flower But O how the books call to me a night

You are careful. You wash the raspberries one by one with your hands.I am reckless; I eat the unwashed ones straight out of the box as you scowl:“You know they recalled these last month for contaminants, right?”
Fantasies are swirling In my head I must get out I must live them instead   Traveling is what I want to do- Traveling of the heart and feet To the mountains of the world And oceans blue

My life can be stressful My school work can be hard My pain puts me into a hole so deep and dark,
Music is the rhythm of my soul, It reaches out a fruitful vine. Touching my life, Touching life.   I feel the beat inside, tolling deeply like a tower bell,

Laughter, joy, happiness all uplifts me but what uplifts me  the most is
That feeling - it's almost indescribable.  T-minus 2 hours, I'm getting ready. The room is clouded with the smell of hairspray and makeup.
If only he could see, the way you treat me
17 years of ballet never attended, toes bouncing, heels
He finds me no matter where I am, Lost in the dark, the epitome of ugly despair, Or soaring on the backs of winged seraphs. He is my King of Kings, my Lord of Lords, and my best friend.
Imagination, Creation, Learning,  Applying,   The world of my mind and the world of my eyes They become one  As I step ever onward, becoming a thing

Flowers Bloom, when molds of this world are broken, when the walls of conformity are torn down and personalities are set free The Sunrises, when hate dispates and love reigns
i used to feel the walls of my skin crumble, crackling like colloseums of days past and the lids below my eyes a rich purple, the color of a royal kings pelt or fresh blood.
When I was a little girl, I thought I was going to marry a prince. I was going to live in a giant castle In an enchanted forest And have six little, lovely princesses with long, luscious hair

Music.      Music.          Music.   My soul's bottle of booze; Gets me higher than a gram of crack      And happier than pay day   Puts my mind on mountains high,
Summer kisses fall goodbye with sweaty lips and radiating eyes
You shine. You’re bright white light is so full of warmth. Your positivity is contagious. The love that seeps from your heart radiates, and you’re words of kindness breathe life into soul.
Sublime riveting through my veins as the passenger seat vibrates from underneath me; Foggy air surrounding my eyes and clouding my vision,
Walking down an ordinary street in my ordinary shoes, With nothing much to do in this ordinary town Filled with ladies and booze.
Rain falling grades rising typing, typing, typing away. It's not the B I want, the A is not enough Sunshining, grades rising typing, typing, typing away. The grades don't matter, but they're the only thing I see
They walk along the floor just as us, but with more of those toes, and more of their feet.
With a push and a shove, the ripple and splash Being ripped from the womb like ‘Blast from the Past’ That split second I’m flying oh-so-high But more of a fly than a bird soaring the sky
Five-Seven to One , but the song has just begun.   Releasing stress a tough day, it moves us on nonetheless.   Add a major cadence to make a statement
Here's to the bad days to the days that end with you in tears or nearly To the days that make you wish  you'd wake up to discover it was a dream

The telephone wires shake with laughter. While she is far away she has never been closer. She laughs with a vigor  invisible in sight  but joyous in sight. She is an invisible smile,

I like the sticky, humid air on a July night The constant chatter of the cicadas Countless stars scattered across the sky The feeling that I'll always live in this moment No one can take it from me
You ask me why but I don’t know anything. I’m just like everyone else, trying to find my way. But you run into me so many times, You push me to my limit, And you make me feel so bitter about life.
Many people proclaim that their boosts are from their phone. Or the quotes and the music they see or hear But is that something they truly own? We only have ourselves to motivate; to love, to fear.
I was skipping through the fields making friends with the wheat my height I was holding on to Papa with all my little might   We ate apples and dreamed For the sake of tomorrow
Ballons lift me above the surface of the blue Smiles crack the faces that didn't know about the new you Endless dances and thinking about how I can reach the moon In the end I didn't have a clue

We hustle through life trying to find meaning, but don't put worth into what we're dreaming. Where does the most value lie? In graveyards where we have died.
Inside the school, so boring and bland, Lies a charming oasis, a musical land. Where Tenor Sax, Clarinet, Tuba and more Are proudly carried right through the door
You've been given the another day. Make the best of it! Don't sulk and sigh because you have to wake up. JUST BE HAPPY! Be proud that you are here. Yes you may not have the best of luck at the moment but it will get better.
I like those little moments when we’re smothered and surrounded and squeezed;
Stretched taut from the peg You resonate And as I shatter into emotional bliss You break evenly into fourths - And perfectly into fifths. Gone is the still air and Down goes the canvas of silence.
Twist and shout, I am the boy who made it out Defined the definition of triumph over doubt From the concrete who knew that a flower would sprout Word to Tupac, yeah that’s a shout-out
After I set down my empty coffee mug I go to school and get me some hugs From the friends who are like family The people who love me for me   I know that grades do not define my worth
Nature is pure.Nature is all around me.Nature is emotional.Nature is honest and truthful.Nature is bare and raw.Nature is open; showing all its wonders.
I never thought myself to be someone with the dents and grooves of a chronic smiler The skin was always smooth never broken by happiness until you filled me up with the hills and valleys
When life brought me down I only knew one I could turn to
Happiness is hard to find We can get lost in our own minds But I have come to find That friends bring happiness of the best kind

Boys? What's so special about them? I don't need a boy to keep me happy But I'll surely keep my eyes open.   What about family? Not by blood but by love Who you can be mad at
You make my heart shine you're an inspiration and with no you, there is   no me. I hope you  know how amazing you are my sweet woman, I   am astounded by
Here is another poem, with meaning and rhyme,
Off to college or work; home to cook or clean, Life gets overwhelming and I often daydream, About a life without worries, a life without a care, But then I see your tiny face fixed on mine with a stare,
I like the sound that emmits from my headphones, the colors that cover the pages of my sketchbook. The sun that shines so warmly when I sit out on my porch, Literally heaven for even just a few minutes.
I am looking forward to the future, Fall and winter, summer break and becoming a senior, And even farther in the future, Senior year, prom, and graduation. I am looking forward farther in the future,

What's Happiness? Perhaps making a stranger smile or seeing your soulmate for just a while What's Happiness? Is it waking up with all of your family at home or taking a crazy last minute trip to rome
The sun comes out, and like they say, its a new day dawning.

Sometimes i wonder if you think of me, or if i should just let you be. Why can't you just see?   I am suffering here all alone, left alone out in the cold, heart turned into stone.

Summer. Fireflies caught in a jar. Lemonade and sweet guitar. Swimming. Working. Swimming some more. Creating. Sweating. Barbecued pork.
I have been here in this life time and time again. I have been to hell and looked the devil right it the eyes. There I walk broken and cast aside, I am not okay.
His Love   His love is a candle in the dark of night For those who need it and follow his word And those who seek it and follow the light
Silver and gleaming Illuminating A shadowed light Fall upon me Cast aside Nightmares And the clouds Ever obscuring Hide the path Until I see You beyond
There is this misconception that when you get to college you become an adult,  And you become more mature and "the real world" starts to make sense.
I'm a very easy person to please give me the bare necetties and some privicy       I'll love you for ever it does't take a lot to make me smile    Give me sunflower or a sloppy kiss on the cheek
Protection from the sun, A place with all things fun Does not exclude anyone.   Diversity is pure. Every day becoming clear That friends of all color are near.
I'm happier than a bird singing a song. It's all because of you, mom. You bring me from my darkest moments and make me happier than a bird singing a song. My only wish is for you to continue being the same.
She smiles so deeply that it leaves imprints on her cheeks. Her laugh brings joy to others that are far beyond her reach.
As I sway back and forth on my hammock, the sweet smell of honey fills my nose
The words flow out of my mouth My whisper floats in the wind They fly from the north and go to the south They go on without end   The music creates my world The soft waves hitting the shore

Let it all out, feel the freedom flowing in your veins, SCREAM! Standing in a field,
I'm surrounded by these barbie dolls their make-up so plastered like those white walls,  Noses up in the air proud and feared as if they're drowning in this atmosphere. They spit on those seats so low
I look to my right at the beautiful boy sitting next to me and I wonder how anything so shattered could look so perfect.
Am I wrong for being different, unlike the typical boys? The ones who sag their pants to the floor, as I look around it feel like I am unsure

You are perfect? No. I don't like perfect things.   You are beautiful? Yes. But that makes it just sound skin deep.   You are indescribable. I thnk that works the best.
High School. Defined as many word, but one describes it well over all. Chaotic.
Dogwood blossoms drift to the ground Temperatures finally rising all around It's Spring again   Things are green as far as eye can see Little birds sing in every tree It's Spring again

When I see her, I can’t help but smile.
The naive caterpillar twists in all directions That's what I love the most That's right, follow the path you think is best Shout away all your frustrations any day, Every day, 'Cause it's never too late.
Friends, family, peers and more without them life would be such a bore. I love to laugh, and dance and sing. They make life such a wonderful thing. Live each day as if it were your last,
The sound of waves to an alarm clock The feel of sand to a wooden pencil
I can see it now: we’re in traffic, in the left lane because driving fast with the windows down is your favorite thing (you like watching my hair become a tangled disaster in the loud wind),
I know I might not have been born in a Hispanic Country,
As the first period bell rings
What is it to gaze at the majesty in the sky? What is it to marvel at the beauty in creation? To peer and bore is simply trivial. One most feel each blade of grass. Crawl into
How can there be pain in a place where there is so much joy? A loving relationship is the most awesome experience in the world. This is why it also holds the potential for so much sadness. There are so many things that can go wrong.
Music is beautiful, comforting and loving. The accoustics paint a one of a kind picture, the harmonies feel like they're holding you in a large hammock,
I am stuck in a four wall room, Hoping not to end up all gloom, Like rats we fight for the top, Only to fall and drop, Soon I'll end up under a tomb
Hi Mommy, You do not know that I am here yet, But  I know you will love me, I am so small right now, I am growing everyday.   Hi mommy, You just found out I am here,

A Man is something unique. A man is what all little boys should strive to be. But how can a little boy strive to be a man when a man he does not see.

I love summer days, because of the sun’s shinning rays. The sun shines ever so hot, even hotter than a boiling melting pot. When it is so hot and I want to get cool. I can go to my grandma’s house for a dip in her pool.
A pool of sorrow. I am in. I long for the days of the simpler times. As an older being,
Music, the sound of vibrant feelings, Makes me shout from rooftops and sky alike, Fills me with rejoicing and promises that spike The interest of new hope, of laughter, of fulfillment, And all I want to do is fly,
Light glittering gently off crests of lapping wake   thick rusty chains groan   in protest of my featherweight     fresh cut wet grass
Hapiness is, the wind in your hair while riding your bike too fast through town Hapiness is staying up too late watching your favorite TV show on Netflix Or how about running to the end of your street and jumping into the ocean
The deadened heart of a wolf was taken out, A greater miracle than flying, He waited patiently, Shedding off blood and death, A beating one of hope.
for so long, I've been so low swimming in an endless river of self doubt and now I have looked back on the past and seen where I was where I came from and what I have become
You only hear ambience But I hear music. The air swirls around me The world breathes to the beat of my heart, A constant, pulsating light: Strings, percussion, and a choir of Earth's creatures.
How lovely it is the world after midnight, The silence of the wind, the tallights of a stray car, Mindfulness in this somber time brings about peace,   A joy so rarely seen in the midst of daily chaos,
Memories are what stitch us together, Allowing us to smile through anything. Those old conversations, The long laughs we shared, Crazy adventures we courageously became part of.

My lover is very mysterious. His moods change like the wind. He is calm, collected, and tranquil one minute, And furious, stormy, and vicious the next. But I love him anyways. He leaves me gifts,
Away from the summer breeze, it is claustrophic in the narrow hallways. Instead of the peace of the ocean, the sound of slamming lockers is harsh and brutal.

Tucked away from the crowd of tired students dragging their feet through the halls Lies the theatre wing where inspiration can still be found in such an institution. A lovely little place where music dances through the air And students can be...

Your love is the sound the trees make when I race through the groves and thickets surrounding our little city. It is the leaves crunching beneath my paws, the soft yielding earth,
