Soldier Coming Home

I once loved a man in Uniform and had to let him go.
I prayed that he would be okay and come back home.
Dear Johns were sent from sea to sea
Waiting for my every reply of his
Not knowing your last written words would be the end
You came home for our Final goodbye
You left to serve your country
Returned having served your final tour all I can say is I am a proud mommy and he is proud of you.
