Love Pours Down

Location

Sitting next to him on the carpet

By the suede couch

Raindrops fall individually on the roof

Then pour all at once

His eyes dart to the gray window

And cut my sentence short

He jumps onto his feet

He grabs my hand

And pulls me

Leading me through the house

And out the front door

Standing in the soaked grass

The rainfall is blinding

But warm

Water trickles off his hair

And arms

He sweeps me off my feet

He spins me swiftly

And drops me

Laying next to him in the grass

By the birch tree

Love slowly begins to fill my heart

Then pours all at once
