She's at war. 

Some know with whom, others are just figuring out. 

For those of you who don't know, this will only help a bit. 

She's at war with herself,

and the white flag is nowhere in sight. 

She's fighting the honorable fight,

leaving marks on her body as a reminder. 

As proof.

She hasn't given up,

as many before her have.

and some after her might. 

 

She dreams one day the sun will rise,

and the dark of night will set. 

The tears of her fears will dry up,

and the scars from her fight will heal. 

 

It's been a long run,

that seemed to have no end.

But the day has finally come.

The honorable fight is over,

and she has finally won.
