The Two Suns

Location

As a girl, some imagine day in and day out
what life will bring about.
Who will you fall in love with?
If I have a daughter will I name her Beth
after myself? What will my wedding
dress look like? When I'm 40 will I still be living
here? Until the events take place,
you can't know who's face
will pop up over that curtain.

You lay on the table uncertain
of not only your future but that of two more.
When you were seven you thought you knew what was in store.
Grade school, high school, college, marriage.
Not 21, single, part-time, and a double carriage.
By now you thought plans were over-rated and dared
to ride the wind but now you're scared.

Months go by and so many changes happen in you life
but the change you wish would stop is their height.
How natural it is to have two mini-yous.
How was it ever different from this? Who
could be happier than we?
There's never been a finer three.

All your life wondering where you would
be. Nowhere else could
be better than here
Two happy faces destroy all fear.

You've fallen in love with not one but two little men.
This one if Levi and this one is Ken.
Never will your sun not shine again.
This is where on life ended and another began.
