The mailbox held an envelope
Keys still in the lock
Running late to the movies
for the letter was urgent

“Where are you?,” her text said.
No response. Not until she opens this.
"I'm in, I mean I AM IN!!!"
a tear rolled down her face

No care in the world, this is it
she has been waiting for this.
Tears, smiling, and giggles followed —
every neighbor heard her joy

“I am in, I have a future” She told them all
Mazel Tov! They said.

The sun was setting

She left for the show

When she arrived she told them
