change the world

You hear it all the time
I want to change the world
I want to save it
But how
How can I
How can you
Look deep within your soul,
dive into the Unknown,
And allow yourself to take flight.
Every single day that we wake up is a blessing indisguise.
Wake up and cease the day!
When I was in the third grade my teacher asked our class to write down one thing we would want to tell the humans of the future.
When I was younger, I had the idea that reality was like a soft sheet,
If you were scared, you could cower back into the comfort of what you know to be home,
If you were angry, you could rip it to shreds,
Revolutionary—
That is what I want them to call me.
When I am dead and gone,
When I am nothing more than dust
From which the trees will grow,
I've reached the point where there's nothing else to say
I've written every poem and song
thought every deep thought that transcends
the common state of mind.
over analyzed and dissected every action and memory
The peace of the world is not always dead
Just forgotten by the hunger of war
Slowly sucking all living with its roar
And captivating innocents with dread.
Most might say joy, love, hope, and sleep,
However, I prefer the beauty of silence,
With its daunting tones,
And comfort it brings when I weep,
The dramatic scene fostered by the cut of sirens.
I'm on a spiritual high
And it'll keep going
If you happen to see me
I'll be glowing
It's not me
Who you see
Cause I wasn't free
But now Christ is in me
Please say something I’m giving up on you
The silence is almost too much to bare
Utter my name so I know you still care
I am only one person
What difference can I make?
I am only one person
But that's all it takes
One person--
One goal
To make the the world better as a whole
How is it that all of us poets live separate lives,
never meeting, never speaking, never working together,
yet our voices are so similar?
The way we all write,
there is something that unites us,
Within the walls of an old prison
Rodrigo cries, honestly, to the lord for his crimes
Santiago, the priest, accepts the apology
faces grey
carved with hate
heads shaven like
a landscape stripped of vegetation
and left to the barren ground
acid eaten faces
with small hard dark eyes
figures devoid of the touch
There are people who cry out for help
Using their weary voices to ask for action
But the people walk on by
Stuck in their own distraction
How many could be saved?
If we threw out inaction
Change the world any time,
does sound fine,
all I need is the mind,
and the word world to be defined.
because my world is changing all the time,
my brain flexes and my life is realigned,
What would I change?
The question lingers in the air
One thing
Only one thing to change
...as I prepare for college...
It's stressful, the whole process of getting there,
but it's worth it...
It totally is worth it...

Alarm
Sigh
Time for work again.
Same
Routine
Make money to stay alive.
Boring
Life
In this cubicle the beauty outside has started to die.
No
More
Money is my boss.
If I could change anything,
I wouldn't change a thing.
To change a thing would change the world,
thats not for us to do.
If I could change a big thing,
I wouldn't change a thing.
The sweeping sounds cascade out of the stage
Bouncing around the room,
Mixing with the cushioned chairs
And the old-people smell.
The brass blasts out a baleful melody
Money money money that's all we ever talk about.
People who don't have enough just want to scream and shout.
Some people worked hard and can now call themselves rich.
What would you change?
Such a simple question
People wanna talk
But they don't wanna hear the lesson
They say they will be there for you
But their mouth is always running
Whenever you try to speak
Helping victims that have been stabbed with a knife,
That's the kind of job I want to change a life.
Helping the ones who have been hurt and abused,
That's the job I choose.
Putting away those child molesters
Do you know
That the universe
Millions of lights
Glowing bright
From such a height
Is in someone
As small as me
As small as you
As big as us
Risk is betting money on a race
Is slowing down while in the chase
Is playing with a burning flame
Is driving in the pouring rain
Is sliding down a mountain range
Is remaining the same in the face of change
Now,
I live life to the fullest
Only to be brought down by foolishness
Foolishness from classmates
That don’t understand whats at stake
And education
The key to reviving a nation
One day I’ll to support myself like my parents.
To defend my political views.
To defend the defendless.
To see for the blind.
To change the world.
To solve world hunger.
To understand how one who killed
