Angel

Please say something I’m giving up on you

The silence is almost too much to bare

Utter my name so I know you still care

My daughters gone I don’t know what to do

My aching heart’s broken beyond repair

Only Angel can mend my broken heart

A truck hit the car and tore it apart

The driver moved on he didn’t care

Now Angel lies in a hospital bed

She feels no pain because of a strong drug

At times she wakes, yells, and sobs, she’s not sane

She’s on life support because she’s brain dead

In my heart I know I must pull the plug

Yes, she’s living but she’s living in pain
