I wonder what my old bedroom looks like now
those empty nights where my breathing no longer exists
will the trees notice there isn't a window to push their breeze in
my dog wondering the halls wondering why its silent
So Having Read In The News That A Linesman Has Used...
What Some Have Viewed...
As RACIST Talk That Made Players Walk...
Off The Field of Play In A Champions League Game...
I Have To Say That The Same Ol’ Same...
Is It The Mind That Triggers ... " Pointing The Finger " ...
Because If It Is The Way You Think ..........
Is WEAKER Than The ... WEAKEST Link ... !!!!!!
That Line's Quite SICK I'm Glad I Used It .... !!!!!
Mad intensive
That juke was mad impressive
Felt the ankles crack from the couch
Chad’s successin’
Big moves, Big yards
The ground trembles,
The crowd roars,
He hurdles through the defense,
He has done it all before,
“Aries! Aries!”
Down goes an opponent,
Down drips his bloody nose,
Chaos from the sidelines,
Every family in America--or so it seems
Gathers around their television
To pay homage
To the god
Of sports and commercialism
To slouch on a couch
To enjoy
Ads that cost
Friday night lights
God of war in sight
Ball in his hand
This field is his land
The God of war
Is a common folklore
But on the field
He becomes very much real
The opposing team tenses
Handsome with grace
Everything in the correct place
Ready for action
Can’t wait for satisfaction
Under the stars light
Lighting the night
Everything is set
State is not over yet
I played football in high school and tore my right ACL on October 1, 2015.
I was helped off the field and had a trainer ice me up for the rest of the game.
I love football a whole lot!
Especially on days that are really hot.
On the feild I ease my mind,
Football is a major passion of mine!
I hear the crowd roar and chant on the sideline.
Who's ready to Play?
Who's ready to put their life on the line for
the chance to be the bigger person?
Who's ready to go in and
Drop a player and
Drop an offensive girl
Life of an athlete can be tough
Tough like the skin on my feet
Feet that have pounded this turf
365 Damn Days this year
This year has come to a close
Closed to the dreams I had
of being a new star
As you embark on this journey of life
It is imperative that you know
I am with you
Although we're miles apart
In distance and in heart
Somehow, I will remain with you
i dont know how i should feel
i dont know who i am
crying is for the weak they say
they call me a champion
my water taps open up in every game
i lose my self, the fear of losing hits me
i dont know how i shoild feel
i dont know who i am
crying is for the week they say
they call me a champion
my water taps open up in every game
i lose my self, the fear of losing hits me
We live in a world where football is important
Where balls getting deflated get a fifteen-minute news segmentAnd military personnel getting shot by Al-Qaeda or ISIS get five
Last year at football I sat on the bench
This year I sat on the bench sometimes
Mostly I played
Until the last game
Now I dont play football anymore
It always starts cold.
Living life bold.
Wrestling got old.
Final grades out.
Im smart with no doubt.
But never had water in the spout.
Summer rolled around.
Football training by the pound.
Yea, Alabama!
It’s a Saturday in the South.
You can hear the sausages sizzle as they set on the grill.
You can hear the fizz of the carbonation as someone cracks open another cold one.
Now there were only screams,
an onslaught of screams,
the people jumping in rhythm,
and football players feeding off of the noise.
My love for Football is so great,Practicing for my next game 'til the dusk of day.The night starts and the game's away, tackle, sprint 'til the end of the night
't u dare blow me a kiss and call me loser.
I'm trying to be mad at u but now I'm smiling at a text.
U say, 'u can't be mad at me'
And I say, 'why's that?'
Luscious green grass covers the field
It is a battlefield for some
And entertainment for others
Painful infatuation
The only escape is
Transcendence of the human situation
Finding love, illusory promises of elation
I am from sweat and hard work,
from the searing heat of summer
and the freezing chill of winter.
I am from the horse kicked dirt,
and the cattle-branded smoke blowing in the wind.
Yes Coach
When I started in Pee Wee I was nervous as crap
Coach Gus taught us all to say ‘Yes Coach’ and then, take a lap.
All of the pain, sweat, and tears come down to this
The bonds built will be tested
It wont be easy
The cool air of a fall Friday night
The field lit up is oh so bright
Our team runs out, the crowd goes wild
Run down the field, the man made aisle
The cheers of spectators fill the air
What Makes Me Happy?
One of the things that makes me happy, is playing football
I’m really good now
I remember when I wasn’t good at all
Soccer balls in the field
and goalie free to wield
he jumps for a view
which appears to be new
a goal appears as i run to my pears
the satisfaction of a goal is screamed into my ear
I'm proud of my team dressed in brown and orange;
The city, no, the state that I call my home;
The perpetual losing, the continuous booing, all is so close to my heart;
While others may laugh at this team on my back;
The Silence Before The Storm,
Flip of the coin at midfield.
The brotherhood that will form,
A machine man can not build.
From the first whistles blow,
Everyone chanting in the crowd.
Sunny days have come and gone
Not long until they turn the stadium lights on
An abundance of boys who have worked very hard
Will soon have their moment of truth
Pads strapped on tight
The homeless seem mistreated
And neglected
I went undercover to see what people would think of me living on the streets
Minute after minute I would hold my cup up high asking for spare change
A guy who is afraid to express his opinion
But has quite a clear vision
How can he overcome this hinderance
Without seeming a bit insolent
One day the answer will be found
But for now he sits tied and bound
It's a careful process
romantic even,
when you pull off the wrapper
of a Crispy Chicken Asiago Ranch Sandwich
from the Wendy's Dollar Menu
For them
It is a he, a him
For me,
She is
Everything
That i wish I could be
Her passion
riveting and delightful
her empathy
Being a military kid can be a real drag sometimes. You move more than the average teen. Last year I moved to and went to public school.
She is what struck my heart in the first place. She knows how to make me laugh and smile. She knows the cure for my sadness. She is all I need to uplift me in my time of need.
Math is not easy
It makes me queasy
The kids in my class quickly fix that
Sitting in the middle of all these guys
It is hard not to disguise the laughter in my eyes
They crack jokes back and forth
Salt drops form
on my forehead.
Eyes burn through my determination.
Leaving me stronger than ever.
The piercing screams
"LETS GO"
ices my warm heart and chills my spine.
Determined.
Summer 06'
Circled around the screen is my family
Grandpa in his recliner sitting stern and proud
My little brothers cheering loud
My mother and father clasping their hands
Football is magnific,
enjoyed by many, first sport I cheered too!
Humbles in defeat, trumpets in glory,
for every loser a winner, first sport I ever won!
Football is fun that weighs a ton,
I walk out on the field to become one with this ball
My thoughts I drown out as I am surrounded by awh
Concentration in my mind as the steps I walk
As I pursue this game of football and the dream that I stalk
The call is sounded and warriors charge
to break the ranks of their adversaries.
Armor clash, caution thrown to the wind as instinct takes over.
Sheer power and determination pushes through the barricade
This is my last performance for you my brothers
so i am glad to be wearing this uniform one last time
I'll drop and give you 20 coach
so don't get so poached
this is one weird poem for y'all
One ride away,
a ride filled with men.
To battle they go,
in defense of their kin.
Some sleep and some pray,
some bask in the din,
some think about their future,
ALL hope for a win.
What's UNDER the ARMOUR?
What's inside the shell?
What stirs up the STORM?
What causes the swell?
When times get tough,
Do I run and then hide?
Or do I stand up and fight,
My dream job is managing a restaurant
I love all the different types of smells that come out of a kitchen
Wake up.
Is it that time already? Yup.
Tis that time of day,
Where grown men assemble to play,
That wonderful game of football.
Practice begins as the sun rises,
He sits, waiting
Waiting to seize his moment
Seconds feel like hours
Why does time go by so slow?
He feels his heart beat
yeah, teach, i’m aware i have glasses. i’m
also aware of what they mean to you – quiet,
shy, high honor roll. it’s not because i can’t see
three feet in front of me that i’m in the
first row.
Can't believe this is my final yearI'm going to get home sick so where's the cureI'm at a stop like lights with a deerI'm on a long road and it's only just begun
Football is a game that I’ve tried
The only game where I almost died
The incident happened last season in fall
That’s when I decided to quit football
The leaves start to turn shades of red and orange,
The air becomes brisk and cold.
Fall comes so quickly,
In the blink of an eye.
Football is back on the television,
High school, College, Nationals.
Bright lights beaming down on a crisp fall night,
I never shyed away from these lights, even though others might,
Theres nothing like the butterflies you get before that first whistle,
Tried my best to please the beast, but alls forgotten wen you take a seatfaith is replaced with unspeakable hate and rage that could make the earth shakeonly thing that was stuck in my mind was diffrent ways that I could make them all realizeI swa
AS HE RUNS IN STRIVE,EYES OPEN WIDE.JUKE LEFT,SPIN RIGHT WITH PRIDE.HIS DESTINY IS JUST 100 YARD DRIVE.WITH NO GUARANTEESRUNNING LIFE FREE.PREPARING HIS SELF TO BE,
Im ready, i was born ready,
to suit up with armor, my helmet heavy,
i look up to the crowds they shout and scream,
as we approach the field, or the battle ring,
The Lights
My dream is to be in the middle of the huddle under the lights.
To be able to work towards a goal
With people I have no relation to
But feel like my extended Family
I am.
I am athletic and smart.
I wonder how high is the sky.
I hear the crowd scream as I enter the dome.
I see the defense in man to man zone.
I want to be the best in the NFL.
A bird taking flight
Is what I will feel
A string on me tightly
None to my appeal
My thoughts blow me away
From true friends to miss
I feel I’m halfway
Gone from the great kiss
My opponent's record, 2-5
This week should be easy to survive
Extending my streak to four wins straight
That is certain, no debate.
Suddenly despair chokes the air
Rodgers with thirty points is just unfair.
Playing football was the cause
Ligaments stretched in my knee
So during baseball season I had to pause
I didn’t wait long enough and that was key.
(poems go here) Somewhere along the line of scrimmage
I lost my sense of self.
15,000 concussions over 45 years
Can do that to a man.
My name is Junior Seau,
And football is the only identity I've ever known.
Go hard, bring the pain
Make every single person in the stands remember my name
Put the other team to shame
And achieve my fame
Only one can win this merciless game
Shut it all out
No such thing as doubt
