She was a little bundle of joy that I brought home
A week old Golden retriever with shining golden coat
Short ears, a straight muzzle, and a feathery tail
Why I named her Paris I had no particular reason?
Sadie, hearing the sound of your bark made my Christmas morning,
it was the best present I ever could have dreamed of.
Our bond grew fast,
I wish forever it could have last.
I can still see you following me around,
Sadie, hearing the sound of your bark made my Christmas morning,
it was the best present I ever could have dreamed of.
Our bond grew fast,
I wish forever it could have last.
I can still see you following me around,
My love,
You are turning 11-years-old this year.
My heart drops to my stomach when I think about that.
When I was a small child,
My aunt adopted a puppy so small and wild,
His golden fur was as soft as can be,
And even now that he’s grown he means the world to me,
little wet nose on my palms,
toenail clicks on the floor,
little snores from the blankets,
that's what makes me feel good.
slobber lips placed on my leg,
chewed up toy in my room,
The pure delight I am greeted with every time I come home
The warm snuggles I am treated to every night
The soft snores I hear just as we fall asleep together
We went to the pound to look at the dogs ‘Just to look.” my parents had said But we all new what was going to happen I was going to find a dog and we would “have to keep it” I was in desperate need for a furry friend. My life was dull and sad. I w
Sometimes you just have one of those days
Where absolutely nothing is going your way
you bombed that science test
you spilt juice on your shirt
you scraped your knee
dropped your ice cream on the dirt
Your fluffy body wiggles as you meet me,
On all fours you see the world so differently,
Your tail wags whenever I throw a ball,
and wait for me when I come home,
I would not know how to be happy without you,
We think
we need
but we don't.
Another
false alarm
turns out
that we don't.
Then you
come along
your
little paws
and I do.
The only thing I need to survive may seem a little strange-
although it's not so much a thing, either-
but the only thing I need
is my companion, my guardian, my reflection,
my...dog.
They ask me what’s awesome,
And I think of a place.
A place,
To make people smile.
A place,
To make people’s day.
They wait for us patiently,
Humans are so fragile
They must be taken care of.
But animals don't matter
Since they're never given love.
You begin to walk away
Like you did no harm.
The animals died today
nuzzle love-bitten guarded girl
overlapping legs, fallen asleep together
blue glow dark room warm hidden world
strong gentle grasp, the trust of the touch on the neck
slight suffocation, enough to relax
My emotions are bursting out like a screech on a violin.
I miss you and it's this pain I can not hold within.
You don’t know
Do you
What it’s like
Not to be loved
Not to have
What you
Take for granted:
A home.
What do you
Know about
Hunger and
Pain and
You step out tentatively, unsure, scared,
The cold air hitting you straight in the face.
Master is behind you, urging you on.
“It’s alright, it can’t hurt you.” Push, push, shove.
The job that would change my life is becoming a Veterinarian. I want to help animals and care for them. Ever since I was at the age of 9 and I got my first puppy for Christmas I knew I loved animals and wanted to help them in any way I can.
I was born
and I loved you
Who am I kidding?
I still love you
I know you, you you
They whispered through the slivers of light
as they passed the rattling big thing,
"You belong somewhere else,
how could you hurt
something so defenseless
how could you not love
something so innocent
shame on you, just shame on you
a life that hurts an animal is less than a life to me
i bring home a warm soul
a bouncing tail
a warm tongue
what a gift
its nature is wild
it runs with delight
happy panting
what a gift
it misbehaves
I told him, many times
many times
To remind me when
The earth begins to jolt-
Yet he smiles
(pant, pant)
Red tongue with slobber
I lift my ears, lift my eyes
Look up to the cloudy sky
Rain falls, soaking me
people hold their noses
Why can't someone embrace me
For who I am
For who I will be
I want to help
I lift my ears, lift my eyes
Look up to the cloudy sky
Rain falls, soaking me
people hold their noses
Why can't someone embrace me
For who I am
For who I will be
I want to help
I am the one who fought for you
Because it’s what you asked.
I am the one who would have died for you
If to me that is what you tasked.
We have feelings too, sir.
I'm sorry for whatever I did.
I promise, it won't happen again, sir.
Why must you do this to a being much less powerful than you.
I limp, I bleed, I cry, because of you, sir.
Those eyes blazed
Jaws wide with rage
Looming so large above me
All I wanted was to play
Teeth through flesh
Warm red water covers me
All is fear
All I wanted was to play
Everyday I wake
Early in the morning
The sun is at the Sea line
And I know its the perfect time
I Walk through the house
And to my masters room
I lick her ear
And she awakens too
I've never had an owner Yelped, whined..those didn't work
And you've never had a pet I waited for you to sleep.Then ran away;
Behind a metal door,
My heart begins to feel sore.
It’s been beating painfully for days,
I’m hoping, just pleading it’s a daze.
Pairs of eyes dart from me to a friend.
Even as I write this,
I am chuckling out loud.
My puppy is laying beside me,
Looking ever so proud.
Not only is he sleeping,
But amusing me too.
He is getting a beauty rest,
She stays when every one else goes
She is the loyalest thing I know
And when it comes to it, I know she will never go
When I'm sad she makes me happy
Listen to Me for once in your life!
You don't know what this pain really feels like.
No one knows what I'm saying to you.
All you hear is a bark or two.
I lie neglected all day, every day.
