How many more newscasts before we decide it's enough?
How many more broken parents and friends before we choose to make a change?
How many more children need to die before anyone can say goodbye?

Who knows what it’s like to fear
A bang in the hallway.

Mommy, Daddy, please don't be sad and please don't cry
I'm alive and I'm happy; in my new home in the sky
We're running and playing; there's so much space
Mommy and Daddy HEAVEN really is a beautiful place
The souls of the many
Were taken to the gates that day
That day where a deranged boy decided to kill
Looking out the window sill
You don’t see their souls being carried up to the clouds
But they are
The Man who shot is not the name to rememberWhen horror came to the fourteenth of December
I could feel in my heart the same feelings.
I was shocked and heartbroken.
We were all deeply moved by their strength.
They represented what was best in us.
The rivers flow as if nothing has happened.
She tried lipstick for the first time—
Mommy’s lipstick, red smeared from ear to ear.
Her grin—those six tiny freckles she inherited from you—
those teeth, with the gap, you keep saying should have braces
So many tears fallen, empty ducts approaching dehydration. An outpouring of emotion exceding any and all of a nations expectations. An unexplainable evil uniting such an amazingly diverse people.
Twenty little souls, glowing and bright.
Flowing in the wind, like brave little kites.
Twenty eager minds, ready to learn.
Wheels in their head, starting to turn.

It hurts me to breath, it hurts me to weepIn silence we all bear this tragedyWe hold tight to our babiesOur family and friendsAs our hearts fall to piecesfor twenty lives left unlived.
Hearts were broken, Families torn,Tears are shed,Love was born.Forget the sadness, Remember the memories,Think of the children,Not the enemies,Lives were lost, anger is shown,
Tragedies are an interesting concept. You can spend hours doing the aftermath, how did we end up on this path?A town, full of smiles and laughter. A beautiful image to capture.Twenty young minds ready to learn.
Some may say I am crazy, Or even insane, But the Little Bodies that laid staring, Could have been saved, The problem that most see is different, In the eyes of those who have grown around, To know the problem that most see, Changes everything to m
BOOM.
Get down,
Go where it’s safe
There’s nothing to worry about
It’s just a firecracker
The celebratory roar

Reason for Return

It’s a barren cold winter
Frozen and cracked across the surface
Our breath stops in the air above us
Our breath leaves us and huddles together in frigid air
This is the story of a girl
Young and frail
Full of life
Ready for her future
It has never been so bright
This is the story of a girl
Who smile can light up the whole world
Days pass and days end
Glancing at the sun
His beam, his hand of help
Lighting our path for the day ahead
The sun arose as usual,
bringing with it the pattering of small shoes
followed by the clacking of heels
down wooden corridors,
to colorful rooms,
for another day of learning.
Ding! The bells go off one by one. Each ring's volume as unique as who they represent Unknown futures - What could have been I close my eyes to avoid the gray sky As if that would stop me from imagining.... Dong!
There’s a silence
All around me
On the mountains
In the clouds
As I listen
To the raindrops
I start to wonder
About the sound
Little ones inside your graves
futures taken before they were made
you don't deserve to leave this way
people praise your fallen status
in the name of vengence and hate
claiming god told them to be this way
27 gone on the carelessness of one person
What has this world come to
How could someone be this mad
Don't want to be reminded of it, but it's so horrible
how some could do something like that
Red as dark as cherries,
As thick as melted chocolate,
flowing in and out of the heart,
it pumps to a beat like no other.
Classrooms flooded with fear,
Teachers protecting the young,
Students too little to know,
A gunman who didn't care,
In a country of freedom,
A country of power,
Why must we all die young?
It’s three o’clock on the dot, going through the highway after yet another long day of trying to make end’s meet.Bank account at negative and blood pressure skyrocket high.
