Dear Neptune,
Something’s very fishy.
Instead of the god of water,
You’re now the god of coffee!
Dear Neptune,
Such a god has never before been seen!
Many high schoolers are now sacrificing
I am not afraid
Of a mirror
And its backward ways
I am backwards
Myself
So we are alike
I see it in the corner
Shaking my head you silly little mortal
Did you really think myths were lies
How can you be so naive when it's right in front of your eyes
Sit back and let me tell you what you don't see
it is the treasures of love that often fool
conceled, conceited, always too cruel.
on the path of meloncholia, the lonely traveler stumbles upon a house
made of ivory and honey.
At last the feud has come to end
Mary fought no more
With the man that she hated so
Ten years, at last, resolved
Philautia
Love of the self
The glass screen flickers
Its blue light harsh, blinding
Burning retinas too dry for tears
her lips were a bloody crimson, calling attention in the dim light of crowded dance floor.
[her dress was hellfire, scorching those who got too close]
her voice was soft, husky
her lips were a bloody crimson, calling attention in the dim lightof crowded dance floor. [her dress was hellfire, scorching those who got too close] her voice was soft, husky
With the sky as bright
And the clouds in their flow
The bird is in flight
Going where no one could know
It’s beauty is mixed with the colors of the world
Goddess of the war
The war storming in her head,
she of strong will and knowledge
Walking the halls striding closer, Ever closer
people say we don't use our brain
but really we would go insane
they help us gain power
without them we couldn't shower
we have to use it all
or else we would all fall
Arachne was that high school girl who thought she was better than you, and there was really nothing else you could do,
She teased you,
She mocks you,
She boasts around you,
She just makes you sick,
Harsh, bright light -
A concussion
Ringing in your ears.
Feelings of regret,
Yet of power.
Sorry, not sorry
Never apologize
To suffer
To suffer alone in this hell
My brothers have their own brides
To care for them and to stand by their side
I was casted away, seen as bitter
It’s not easy being a god
The girls blushed
and the guys rush
to see what he has become
Diyonysus is his name
who inherited his fame
from drinking and making all the wine
oh what a happy and lucky guy
Eros, My Love, I lay next to you, street lights gleaming
Eros, My Love, I had your trust, car horns honking
Eros, My Love, I thought you'd be so true, sirens blaring
Eros, My Love, I lay next to you, street lights gleaming
Eros, My Love, I had your trust, car horns honking
Eros, My Love, I thought you'd be so true, sirens blaring
You’re out of popcorn again.
The mesh door swings on its hinges in the September wind, like a reminder.
Living room stacked with half eaten tv dinners.
He was as stubborn, as he was powerful,
Even in the face of destruction, he smirked daringly.
Reeling as he stood back up, he drew his blade.
He was as stubborn, as he was powerful,
Even in the face of destruction, he smirked daringly.
Reeling as he stood back up, he drew his blade.
Pulled and groped, they haven't destroyed her
She's here to hunt
She can take the brunt
Her speech is a slur, she doesn't feel sure
Her drink is drugged
Her waist is being tugged
She thinks she says no
I can feel her
Here with me
Weeping on the floor
I feel her hand on my shoulder
Artemis wipes my tears
Hera holds my hand
The world is a haze
But they are clear
Long ago the Greeks had their gods and goddesses
Thought to be long forgotten to the sands of time
But they’re still very much alive.
Dethroned from Mount Olympus
At first sight
I knew
It was he.
I wanted
a love
that was true
that was sweet.
"Cupid," I called
"Cupid, help please"
"Cupid I need this boy's eye to see me!"
Survival,
It’s what I know best.
It’s painful, and hard,
But also makes us stronger.
And most don’t know my story.
The river so tranquil
as birds chrip to the sound of their
heart beats
The river calls to me under the watchful eye of the moon
I must go home but the water is so clear
Uneasiness fills me up
The very smile that makes me glow
It engulfs my sorrows
Get rides of my troubles
It stimulates my happiness
And it makes me bloom
The very smile that makes my day light up
MEDUSA- A modern Interpretation
Poem by: The Poetic Truth Productions By Nini
She was innocent
But yet she was found guilty
Devoted to making society a better place,
It seems Pandora’s Box has opened
With many horrific evils all abound.
Look around at the natural disasters now,
That cause our heads to defeatedly bow.
Along with poverty, greed, theft, murder,
As children we’re taught the myth of Hercules,
The mythical powers of Zeus,
Athena’s legendary insights,
Aphordite’s love tales,
And poor Orpheus’ plight.
“will you marry me, Hera?”
“no means no, Zeus. i’ve seen how you are with other girls and i’m not interested.”
he smiled at her
Temperatures rising.
Ice caps melting,
Falling into the sea.
Gaia, Mother Nature,
Oh how she cares
As she stares at the dirty air.
Her animals are dying out,
And her Earth is full of drought.
