Those who never made mistakes had nothang learnt in life. Nor gather any experience. For Mistake uncovers many mysteries.
I have two arms And a few legs A torso, sure And a head And a few organs, I'm told Maybe some teeth and some bones I look at you And you do too You look like me, a body with a soul
  Perfection should not             be searched for; uniqueness should        die with its finding.   The above haiku I wrote years ago; It is one that I have liv'd by.
Humidity is a bitch to me. It’s alive. Sitting on cement, slapped fresh by Texas afternoon rain. Microscopic droplets carry home, lingering oils resting on cheeks. Clouds from above float through chambers of my lungs.
Scratch our story into skin flip my pages thin you’ll never forget me.   Justify my every move to conform to nothing in my naked mind.   You assure me I’m alive
You're ugly. You're beautiful. You're fat. You're full-figured. You're worthless. You're everything. You're stupid. You're different. You're smart. You're unique. You're you.
Many are aware  That snowflakes are lone of a kind.  But countless would spare 
There is no human “norm” Black ink writing forget-me-not notes on your skin, You’ll hear future melodies Where people dance euphorically exhausted Dousing pale cheeks with spirit heated
In the world there are clever and foolish people, There are virgins and prostitutes, Rich, poor, middle class, and the clean and simple, There are pretty things and a couple of tragedies,  
I lay still Still I lay While they look down at me   I am dressed in satin. With my hair just so And a rose within my grasp   Their eyes do cry They cry from their eyes
We are defined Not by the hearts that beat within us
  Running down my face  Tears, I see 
We walk the halls in single file lines. Our desks are arranged in straight, narrow rows. Classrooms have the appearance and resemblance of prison cells. Our uniforms take away our individuality. 
Freefalling A tiny white crystal of ice Descending from heaven A precious gift   Glittering in the light Falling, sparkling, beautiful In its own right A masterpiece unto itself  
Do not tend to me,  For I am untouchable, I am the Wind,  the Fire,  the Earth. You are Water,  your ebb and flow always pushing me  to you and from you, but for no longer.
I was born different, unique, As all babies are. What, after all, is normal, anyway?   But somehow, in the division of humanity, Some people are more like the rest,
Manipulative, Greedy, Selfish, King. In a world so claimed to be run by democracy, it sure feels like a monarchy. Like a pharaoh atop his throne in great heights,
My name is Syed. It means leader in Arabic. I was named after the many respected Muslim leaders before me. Yesterday my name was reserved. Tomorrow my name will be outgoing. In my dream my name was optimism.
I am a dream. I wonder what “to exist” entails. I hear it’s wonderful “to exist” and I want to exist, to BE, but still I am worse than dead – INERT!
