Life is like a Cherry Blossom Tree, it's beauty lasts only so long, it seems like only moments, you'll look away and they're gone.
A bright eyed cat
caught up in wires.
Never sees the sun
Tortured with pliers.
Is anyone listening
Does anyone care
Is animal testing truly fair?
A tiny, white rabbit
Don’t think too much
About forbidden touch
Or legal abuse of such
Little creatures like dairy cows and fabric workers.
Don’t feel too much.
The homeless man with his crutch

Master, I wonder
why do you beat me so.
What have I done to deserve this
pain.
Is it because my name is Pitbull
Isn't it's time to take a stand,
For the animals that have dealt with abuse for man?
How much pain do they have to take,
Before we can rescue them and find them no longer awake?
Look at me now; tell me what you see?
A small new puppy full of hope and need.
I do not speak or seem to hear,
though now and then I show real fear.
What will I be when I am grown?
Sad eyes,
black skies.
All these lies,
I just want to die.
It's sickening, you abuse me for entertaining,
all my energy is draining.
It's raining, please let me in,
Watching you,
watching you abuse me.
Sad eyes,
asking why?
What have I done? I have just been loyal to you,
you take me for granted.
You use me,
while I thought you loved me.
Chickens, and pigs, and cows! Oh my!
Watch their life passes by
In cages and pens without air to breathe
Hardly real dirt for their feet beneath
All I do is love you
But look what you put me through
You come home drunk, angry and swinging
I cower in fear awaiting the stinging
It's darkdark in here, but I can't tell you. It's crowdedcrowded in here, but I'm misunderstood.I'm in painin pain in here, but you don't hear my terror.
If I could change just one thing
What could possibly suffice?
Could I break the bonds of hatred, and save an unborn life?
Could I pause the hands of time for just one reason, a reason
To cling?
Listen to me
Listen to them
They cry, they scream, they have babies too
Yanked away and killed from birth,
Mothers scream
Death begins before life begins
Males grinded, females shaved beaks
I do not have a name.
I have three friends
To talk to, one behind
And two beside.
They’re the only ones close enough.
We love to chat, but
Sometimes we argue
Because we’re all frustrated
God made creatures
Both big and small
What he didn't intend
Was for us humans to neglect them
To abuse them and leave them
Take a stand to stop this cruelty against these poor creatures
After my master moved away-
I saw some boys come out to play
they played a game with balls and bats- and blood and bones and yowling cats
I ran away from them
an alleyway, so dark and cold
If humans were animals and animals were humans,
Maybe then we would understand their pain.
Take a look into their eyes as they are put in cages filled with sadness and mistreatment,
I once flew above treetops through endless sky
But in this small wire cage I can’t even fly
My claws used to catch prey on the forest floor
But now I cannot hunt like I did before
There was a time when all my hope was gone
I was kicked to the curb without doing wrong
My owner had way too many of us to give care
She was sick, had a warehouse of us somewhere
All I see are the bars on my cage.
All I can see is that which impedes my freedom.
Freedom!
I dream of freedom.
This concept, I do not know what it entails.
All I know is what freedom means to me:
Animal Cruelty
It’s a subject that angers me
They’re beings with feelings
Where’s the humanity?
“A dog is a man’s best friend,” they say
Yet they continue to be abused every single day
