The Unheard Cries

The animal was suffering cruel conditions
You may ask yourself why
The answer lay on monetary commissions
The reason thousands of animals die.

'What a nice coat you're wearing'
Why thank you it was once a cat
My guiltless conscience bearing
The horrific fact that at that
Very moment an animal was tearing.

'I love your matte lipstick'
Why thank you it was tested on mice
My lack of empathy made me sick
The unknowing animals payed the price
Prick prick another injection prick
Once the rodent died just one more slice.

'I'll bet you 20 bucks Rex will win'
The battered dogs and roosters waited
Blood dripping and scratched skin
Creatures manipulated by humans’ hatred.
