I wasn’t there in the Garden
Didn’t see when He died for my pardon
Wasn’t there when he sweated drops of blood
Oh how His heart must have been tugged
**************************
I didn't see the disciples dismay
The hand which has touched my heart
Should have been my healer
Gone are the days, years, minutes and seconds
When your name was synonymous with mine
The whole universe seems thirsty
His thoughts stole my heart
Response to James Cone's "The Cross and The Lynching Tree"
I have the faith to hang upon Calvary
but would I hang upon the Poplar tree.
If by it I may set my sisters free
A predetermined gathering
One in heaven, the other earth
Many voices answering
Great noises call forth
He is there in both places
bow to no one
until courage becomes you
howl at the moon
because no one can stop you
fall from the sky
because up is now down
learn how to fly
don't just stay on the ground
The Love that fought the Dragon.
Was so strong, so bold, so free,
The Dragon couldn't win this one,
So he was forced to leave.
The love that fought the Dragon.
was so strong, so bold, so free,
"The last stand was made here
Where life drained the hills
The last stand was made here
Where many were killed
The last stand was the last
Though he did not stand
He was hung on a cross
I have a big Green house on a hill and it’s
Giant and clean
And full of space and I
Can’t wait
To get it filled up with things that
Portray my
New life with my husband.
It started with a small cross on their backs. They lived, and loved, only wanting the best for each other. As time went on, their crosses grew; and then came the moment where their crosses were united.
She stands looking in the mirror
and what does she see ?
what she appears
to be
a young woman of faith
filled with promises from above
Her flaws run deep
yet she is washed clean
I hide behind a silver cross that hangs from my neck,
My grandmother’s,
Because here atheism is a shameful word.
But it’s true, I don’t believe in God.
I don’t believe things are “meant to be,”
MANSIONS IN HEAVEN THAT IS THE BELIEVERS FUTURE ESTATE,
IT CAN BE YOURS TOO BUT YOU MUST ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST BEORE ITS TOO LATE!
IF NOT ETERNAL DAMNATION WILL FOREVER BE BEFORE YOUR EYES!
I REMEMBER BACK TO A TIME WHEN I WAS SHACKLED WITH THE HEAVY CHAINS
OF SIN,
BUT THEN I ASKED GOD TO FORGIVE ME AND I OPENED UP MY HEART AND INVITED
JESUS IN!
AND THEN THOSE HEAVY CHAINS WERE COMPLETLY LOOSED!
THE BLOOD OF CHRIST REDEEMS ALL NATIONALITIES AND RACES FROM SIN!
MAKING THEM NEW CREATURES NO MATTER OF BACKGROUND OR COLOR OF SKIN!
NO MATTER THE CREED OR RELIGIOUS DENOMINATION,
ALL QUALIFY FOR ETERNAL SALVATION!
IT IS AT THE CROSS THAT IS WHERE YOU'LL FIND,
I PRAY THAT THESE WORDS ECHO IN EACH AND EVERY MIND.
THESE ARE WORDS THAT MUST NOT BE FORGOTTEN!
OUR SALVATION WAS PAID FOR BY THE DEATH OF GODS SON HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN!
WHEN A CHILD IS BORN THE MOTHER CRIES,
TEARS ARE ALSO SHED WHEN A LOVED ONE DIES.
BUT THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO,
ONE LIFE ENDS ONE STARTS ANEW.
AND SO IT GOES WITH BIBLICAL SALVATION,
THERE IS ONE CURE, ONLY ONE ANSWER FOR THIS WORLDS SINS,
AT THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST IS WHERE THIS STORY BEGINS.
IT IS ALSO WHERE ITS FINISHED, THE SIN DEBT BEING COMPLETELY DIMINISHED.
My Love,
You are my heart, my joy, and my bride.
For you, I took the nails and the wound in my side.
For you, I was beaten beyond recognition.
For you, I lived knowing I’d endure crucifixion.
NOTE: My poem is in the image.
I am traveling somewhere in this poem. If you can't figure it out, the answer will be in small print at the bottom right.
Could it be? This man beside me -
Battered, bleeding, dying?
Could it be? Amid the rising jeers
This mocking crowd is crying?
Could it be? Though wails surround
Of those recanting in regret?
Now let me start out by saying this…
God made Minute Made...- because in less than a minute, a minute was made..
I got a little bit relaxed with myself when I, weaved only a little bit of his will with a whole lot of my will.
Red Blood;
Shed!
Purifies Me,
Cleanses Me,
He's No Longer Dead.
Now I'm;
White As Snow!
THE CROSS!
I am only human,
I have love that longs to be given
I have pain that longs to be taken
I have courage, but not enough
I have strength, but again not enough
Jesus died on that cross for me
