Words of Wisdom for Ears Ready to Listen
Have you ever dreaded to take a breath
Not the kind that fills soft moist lungs
But the kind that follows a silent death
Let me go no further
For I can see you
I don’t have to be there
Your eyes wonder, and your mind races
They give away your inner heart
Betray their master to their own folly
You do not understand my words
You have not taken the time
Meditated on the rhyme
Close your eyes
For I will not go on
I tell you I will not go on
Yet you still entertain my words
Maybe you are looking for lies
Maybe you are looking for the truth
Regardless if you so insist I will tell you my words
Let your eyes be the judge of lies and truth
I hope they do not betray you again
I say
Have you ever dreaded to take a breath
Not the kind that fills soft moist lungs
But the kind that follows a silent death
Though blood still flows through warm veins
And the mind still explores its vast plains
It lingers for it will remain
I know you have taken this breath
Because you would not be here without it
All must taste this breath
For they will truly die without it
It is the breath of sorrow
The breath of pain
The breath that is truly a foolish man’s bane
Yet how could it be that without it you would die
Would the world not be better if no one would cry
Would we not all love with linked arms and joyous song
Cheering and dancing all day long
Would we not have comfort and ease of the day
No worries or problems to get in our way
We could lay and relax with comfort at our side
All the time in the day, for in joy we could abide
stop
for if you do not see it you are not ready for my words
You must come to your own conviction to understand
You can not piggyback on the coattails of my own
I fear for you because the less you see it the closer you are
For your sake, once again I say
We could lay and relax with comfort at our side
All the time in the day, for in joy we could abide
Yet then where would we be, in the comfort of our home
And where would we go because we never knew the feeling of being alone
Who would we help, because no one would need it
Who would we LOVE? Because no one could feel it
I ask you, why do we run from the trials of life?
From our pain
Who is a greater teacher?
Who can bring more people together?
Without it could you even know happiness?
Know love?
The breath of a sorrow sinking into the heart is not to be taken lightly
Nor is its pain to be brushed off
Yet, neither is it to be wallowed in
Neither is it to have control over your life
There is wisdom in learning to Love ones trials
The question is, are you willing to understand it
