Ode to Anxiety

Location

Did you see that? That, there.

That lady is staring at me.

She keeps looking over here.

Do I have a booger in my nose?

Is my receding hairline showing?

Twenty years old with a receding hairline.

I would stare at me if I were her too.

Not to mention I’m fat?

Damn, did she just smile at me or is she laughing.

Now her friends are looking at me.

Oh God, now they’re laughing at me too.

I need to leave.

I need to go.

I need to get out of here.

Bye laughing lady and her friends.

Wait, did I forget something?
