In the 3in by 2in

In the 3in by 2in picture

frame that hung in my

room showed the smile

The same smile that

I used to cover my pain

to hind my guilt, my shame

and my tears

The same smile

I had on my face

When I got rapped

The same smile when my

parents got divorce

The same smile when I

was addicted to drugs

The pain, anger, and hurt is

what my smile covers

Beneath my white shiny teeth

there lie "The smile."
