Breaking up

Long forgotten in the pages of your life,
What we had was a love like all the others
The build up to the break down.
Conversations of us wed, and I️ your loving wife
think about me when it’s rainy
and you crave something warm
think about me at school
like how we cuddled in your dorm
She submerged deep into the depth of her kindness,
Her naivety drowned her, strangled her.
She couldn’t complain, she had done it to herself after all.
Betrayal, disgust, and irritation,
Where do I begin?
How do you tell a tale so weathered yet so fresh?
So foreign yet familiar.
Your palm that once warmed my thin fingers
Darling, I know I needed to decline.
My betrayal is unforgivable.
I’m unable to see the grand design.
A life without you is unlivable.
Do not tell me our life has been a lie.
You can't tell me that you ever cared about me or my feelings when the one time I sleepily told you I loved you (on accident), you told me that I didn't
I was a lilac sky
And you were an ocean blue.
The glistening color which sparkled in your eyes
made me go to cloud nine.
Those eyes which only sparkled for purple
Butterfly kisses up and down your neck
Sweet nothings whispered at 3 A.M.
Arms wrapped around each others waist
loving each others
warm embrace.
I keep you so close because I love you
To you I am just a guy,
A guy from whose cup you sipped bitterness,
With whom you shared a bed of loneliness.
From whose plate you ate pain,
To you I am just a guy,
Out of whose tongue deception oozes.
With every unsaid wordbetween us,a new brick is addedto our wall of silence.
This silence begannaturally as wegrewboth up and apart.
Where have you gone no trace of you
I see footsteps
Fresh and new like a newborn baby
I follow them
Where could you be?
Did I miss the signs?
I have eyes but I do not see
I realised, in light of
the way you came and went,
When breaking up with someone you love,
the last thing you want is consent.
Whatever.
Whatever you say.
Whatever, I don't care...
Whatever that--whatever--means, he can't be bothered to care.
"Whatever" he said.
ARGH! Just makes me want to pull at my hair
It all started with a bet,
thats all it took
to make you fall in love with me.
We fell in love under
the sweet summer sun,
singing to the radio
in your fast black car.
Had I known that the prerequisitefor our relationshipwas beating your step dad Rexon a mountain bikeI would have challenged him to a rematchI didn't know we were racingI didn'tI didn't
A snow storm blows its way across July
I wait for tears,
To feel this pain
Hold on, I am not falling
You are not my faith
Not mine
Sick of trying to live off your love
Today I saw a book titled:
"Why We Broke Up"
After skimmy a few paragraphs
filled with nonsense and nonfeel
I put the book down and ran.
A door swung shut and I opened
You held me
You held me when I was strong
You held me
You looked at my face and told me how beautiful my smile was
