My mind thinks too much
And yet, i can't think, can't eat, sleep, breathe
I feel a Pandora's box inside
I can't let those emotions out, not now
But I can't keep them in, can't let them win
When there is someone you truly love,
You'll find that life before them was without consequence.
Without purpose.
You feel useless.
Before I met Her, I thought that what I couldn't live without was materialistic.
Do you think its ok
to keep trying
even though you are not
good enough
Do you think that
its ok to keep going
even though you have tried hard
but still have tasted defeat
When young you're taught
not to fly beyond the edges of the nest
so you spend so much time just wondering
what's outside?
Buildings are made to contain us
only giving us glimpses of what's outside
Work, sweat and sometimes cry,
deadlines are coming
and the only thing not stopping is time.
Submit your work
and close your eyes.
Take a deep breath
and feel like you made it.
I could not figure out what to write about
It was quite the mess to figure out
My mother had tons of doubt
In my terrible rhyming skills
She thought I was unable to rhyme
