I never did too much in life to make my mama proud of me
But her love shined brightly in her eyes for all to see
She gave me life and taught me how to live it
Mama gave me love and taught me how to give it
Handfuls of them scattered around,
in liquid form there's no doubt that she'd drown.
Her warmth appears in the shape of a stray,
and even though I love her, I find it hard to say.
Dear Mom,
I just want to say I'm sorry for the stupid shit I do and how I don't want to come home
to you but I don't see myself being in your presence if you don't even fucking believe
Sitting round the table waiting for Dad to join us,
Me and my mom spent two hours gazing at the main entrance
Hoping the door bell would ring
And dad would come home spring me up in his strong arms
Dear MomI know we’ve lived together for foreverYou think you probably know most of my lifeRight?WrongThere’s so much I never told youAll the times I cried
I am so lucky...
I am so lucky that I didn't have to live in a house
that didn't have any heat in the middle of winter.
But I did...
I am so lucky that my mom always had a job and money
I've felt the biggest peak of my life
Beyond a perfect fantasy
Nothing would've ever gotten in the way
Love was my ultimate momentum
But there comes an end we don't know when, why or how
I am from fantasy books.
From crayola chalk
and black barbeques.
I am from the contented cats,
purring on my bed,
warm, fluffy, and always brimming with love,
that was almost tangible.
If only I could stay to watch the sun rise over the bay feed my horses their hay if only I could stay.
Today is the last day i watch them take boxes into the truck and watch my memories fade.
Beyond the four walls
No one knew
But me
And I knew
I had to set me free.
I waved good bye
Kissed my mom
Stepped forth
Through barbed wire
Headed north.
Dear mom.
You broke me in 10,000 itty bitty pieces of heartbroken disaster.
Then you left me to fix it, all by lonesome.
You never even once considered the damage you had done to me.
You know the feeling,
When someone’s behind you.
When you turn around.
to see the face
but all you see is
Empty.
You walk ahead
When the time comes, I hope you crumble and fall
when the light, hits the midpoint of that beautiful summer day
I hope your flesh rots off of those achy bones.
What is more precious than
silver, rubies?
That holds more power in an empty soul
than a river of gold
Leaverage of coverage a sort of security
Why must we forget, when things go amiss
I'm sorry
I'm sorry that I have ever cursed at you
I'm sorry that I have made you cry
I'm sorry for every black eye you gave me
I'm sorry for every time I said "Please, Stop, No."
Don't you just hate when history repeats itself over and over again?
I do! Even when I tell my family its gonna be the same result again.
Their excuse is where are these kids gonna go.
The Painting of Life by Tristen Reese
There are different paths in life; yet life is like a maze.
You make lefts, you make rights ... but are you making decisions that are winning.
Mama: Taa (tay-yah) .... never let a nigga think you need him! See that was my weakness and I swear to god I'm like this for a reason! My dad passed I was 8 and shit I raised myself, and grandma spoiled me I was alone...
