You Made a Choice
I learned to drive today,
Did pretty well,
But you had nothing to say
Because you weren't there.
I graduated last year
A huge celebration with friends.
We had it right here,
But you didn't come.
I found the man of my dreams,
Now we're happily married
And yet it seems
You still don't care.
I have kids now
Several children my own,
Still I don't understand how
They don't matter to you.
You made your choice
To ignore me forever,
You used your own voice,
And now you're a stranger.
Why do you care
After all this time?
You've given me too much to bare,
You're not a part of my life.

Me
