tiptaptiptap

tiptaptiptap

fingers on the table
rhythmless and bland,
we cut off the cable.

tiptaptiptap

rain on the window
erratic and soothing,
we watched the world go.

tiptaptiptap

pigeons in the attic
peaceful and friendly,
we didn't understand their dialect.

tiptaptiptap

feet in the hallway
sneaky and light,
you left that day.

tiptaptiptap

fingers on the table
nervous and worn,
i found my mind wasn't stable.

tiptaptiptap

rain on the window
dull and depressing,
i wish it would snow.

tiptaptiptap

pigeons in the attic
quiet and somber
i found they made me sick.

tiptaptiptap

feet in the hallway
lone and afraid
i left your body in the study to decay.
