Redemption

To belong,

To be loved,

To be heard,

Each desire fights.

Human,

Self,

Me,

I.

Unpure,

Unworthy,

Rejected,

Cast aside.

Tears drop,

Fear strikes deep,

Lies I bought,

Win...

Or so they thought.

A hand reached down,

I take it,

Like a rope...

My hope.

Lifted, not pulled,

Held, not pushed.

Scarred hands,

Gently lead.

Healing came,

When I surrendered;

Scared hands

Took my scars of fear.

Offered joy,

Offered courage,

Offered love,

Offered hope.

A gift is given;

Freedom.

Know the price;

Accept the gift.
