Pink Noses

Words drift into

Oblivion

The night stretches into

Morning

Alarm rings into

Irritation

Dawn breaks into

Smiles and meows and clueless kittens

My mouth now full of fur laughs

And I remember why

To greet their pink noses

To feel their soft coats

To love their fast hearts
