From The Otherside

Live not with your eyes blind,
Or with your heart enclosed.
Don’t believe the whole world is unkind,
Nor that all hope is lost.

I’ve been to the other side,
Where we just might go,
I’ve seen the golden light
Just like the stories told.

And there, there was an angel whom
Had spoke to me so gently,
Who’s wings were in feathered bloom,
Spread out like winter’s curtain.

He told me “Do not forget
What it is you live for.
Don’t let evil make you fret,
Just keep living, one day more.”

So I awoke on the bathroom floor,
My heart beating once again,
I can feel it in every pore,
The change in me was evident.

So I sat with this paper and pen,
And to the world I write this letter,
So that others may know:
Don’t worry, it gets better.
