Never Enough

Fearing a transparent man-made tool of vanity

A tool who hides nothing

This tool shows you who you truly are

Some may say that you are more than your reflection

However, we know this is not true

Anxiety and I know the truth

My body is all the world, my friends, family, and classmates will ever see

In fact, it's all they'll ever want to see

Never will they see the person I am on the inside, caring, smart, creative, and kind

God intended for all of humanity to judge you for your looks

And that is what will occur for the rest of time. Your anxiety tells you so, and it never lies.

Mirrors will be your enemy as long as you look like you do.

You will never find comfort in your body until you look like (insert unrealistic body standard here).
