Hollow

Location

Are the words I speak nothing more to you?

Are they just a hollow shell,

Or do they carry their weight

Through heaven and hell?

For you it may seem

Hard to uncover.

But for me it's easy,

not one or the other.

This life should have meaning,

And meaning it holds

Only through words we speak

That resound in our souls.

You see, there's not a choice,

One or the other,

Because when I speak to you,

There is not another.

So if you ask me a question

Expecting the truth,

Expect no other answer,

Or my head in a noose.
