Graduation

walking across the green grass

almost time to say goodbye to our class

sweaty palms and shaky knees

finally going to be free

anxiously waiting to hear your name

looking around to see who all came

shake his hand

look out to see a friend

get the diploma to keep

knowing it didn't come cheap

excitedly waiting to throw the cap

wanting them to call it a wrap

the last time with your class

as you walk across the grass
