Far Away
Location
She sat alone with her sorrow
Didn't give a damn what they thought
She could dance
She could write
She could do anything
Before they broke her down..
Down...
Down...
She could do anything
Before life got her down
She was just a girl
A person like you and me
She was a dreamer
A believer
She could be anything
Anything she wanted
She had at her reach
But she was pushed away
Away from the things that were true
Away from people like me and you
First came the thoughts:
You're no good
You're no good
You're nothing to everyone
No one told her she was wrong
No one was there to listen
Because they all closed their ears
And chose to see through their opinions
The sadness
The tears
The cries of pain
But their mouths stayed closed
And her thoughts weren't sold
She was just a girl
A person like you and me
She was a dreamer
A believer
She could be anything
Anything she wanted
She had at her reach
But she was pushed away
Away from the things that were true
Away from people like me and you
We could've helped her
She could've been okay
But they pushed her away
Until it was too late
We yelled her name
Tried to make her see
That she was like you and me
She would've been safe
She would've laughed
We would've made her smile last
But we couldn't get to her
We couldn't open her eyes
'Cause everyone closed them
She had her own thoughts
Until people broken them
She was just a girl
A person like you and me
She was a dreamer
A believer
She could be anything
Anything she wanted
She had at her reach
But she was pushed away
Away from the things that were true
Away from people like me and you
She was just a girl
Someone we would've loved
She was a dreamer
A believer
She could've been anything
Everything she wanted
Was sent away
She was pushed past a point
To which no one could return
Away from the the things that were true
Away from people like me and you
We could've helped her
We could've helped her
She was pushed away
Before we could reach her
We could've helped her
We could've helped her
And now she's a star
So no one can reach her
She was just a girl
A girl like you and me
