Brief Personal Bio

Tupac began his music career to articulate the injustices endured by many African-Americans and who continued to face the same struggle for equality. Tupac wrote poetry to try and escape from his troubles of his mother becoming a cocaine addict and him dealing drugs.

Tupac's lyrics "move the ground beneath our political, moral, and societal debates, would be self-defeating...to do so would belabor the searing bluntness of 2pac’s assault on the same old talking points and buzzwords surrounding the discussion of the war on drugs, which continues to this day, decades after the release of this song".
