Everlasting Memories

Childhood memories, some

Happy and sad. Of

Illness and wellness and

Living with dad. Was

Distanced from others and

Hating it all—now

On with the day. I’m

Destroying the wall.

Memories so sweet,

Every one I savor.

Memories so sweet, but

Only on paper. I’m

Replaying them over

Inside my mind

Each day I wonder, and

Sometimes I cry. I

Savor the moment

Without regret;

Every tear shed as

Each moment moves on.

Time! How it flies. I’m

Living forever

In present and past

Failing to forger these

Everlasting memories.
