The Blues

You haven't talked to me in weeks

And I'm damn sure it's my fault or another

As I watch the sky stratify

Into blues from cerulean to robin's egg

And the people I pass are just shades in a jaded life.

I like how "As I watch the sky stratify" kind of brings you from a feeling of anger into a feeling of sadness as the poem closes. It's like the breaking point. At least that's how I read it.
