And You Never Will

You didn't love me

Because you didn't know how to love

You only knew how to play

So indeed you played,

With my heart. My feelings. My time. My life. My mind.

I went from your precious prized doll to your rag doll

Thrown around

Taken apart

And left wherever

You knocked me off my pedestal

And kicked me underneath it

And while crying under that pedestal

I started to see the man that I love

Become the dog I was warned about

From the apple of your eye to your chew toy

It hit me,

It hit me hard

That you didn't love me

And you never will
