“The Tree that Only I Knew”

Here's a tree that only I knew,

Its roots deep in my heart it grew,

A symbol of my hidden truth,

A friend that saw me through my youth.

Its leaves were like my every dream,

A thousand hands that grasped the scheme,

Its branches reached up to the sky,

And taught me how to learn and fly.

It whispered secrets in my ear,

And made my doubts and fears disappear,

It helped me find my strength and grace,

And gave me comfort in its embrace.

I asked myself if this tree ever knew,

Of my admiration, for I hadn’t a clue,

I lost my self in it’s life as my empathy rained,

The that of its harm, worried and pained

This tree that only I knew,

Has grown within me ever true,

A symbol of my heart's abode,

A friend that's helped me to grow old.

It taught me the the seasons will change,

Much like my future, life will rearrange.

It taught me that my attention is clue,

It was my friend “The Tree That Only I Knew”
