Wounds of War

Location

You came back changed, I don't know you anymore.

You don't even know yourself anymore,

where did you go?

You left yourself across seas and he's scared,

it's just the wounds of war.

You're not alone, I love you.

You're my brother, my blood and strength.

I want to help you, but you won't let me.

You scream in the night, you break down.

You throw things and cry.

It's just the wounds of war.

You refuse help, you say there's no need.

You often say you're not worth the effort,

but you are. You're worth it all.

Trust is all I ask, but I know it's hard.

You have to trust yourself,

release your wounds of war.
