left behind

shivers down my spine
at the thought of you leavin' me behind
after all that we have been through
you made me think it was always gonna be me and you
now, as you head for the door
You treat me as a flower
From the side of the road
With its own pure beauty
You can’t let go
You hold me in your arms
Staring
Wondering
What I’ve been through
Staring
Wondering
All hopes go into a smooth grasp life's circumstances in ones dominant handMy semesters days lead to a three digit goalA gut twistingHand shakingStomach punching stiff grasp crumble corners
I sleep in nothing but a chain
A short, gold chain draped on my neck
It weighs on me, I feel it closing in
Choking me when I am weak
My sister's bones lie beside me
Sometimes it’s lonely,
Being the one left behind,
Blocked off from reality,
No longer part of life,
No one really looks,
Deep within,
See the soul reflected,
And how do we comfort
those who are left?
Those with life?
Those with breath?
Can you see
the shining light
flicker out
and slowly die?
That is their hope,
that is their dreams,
Elementary is the life
While Highschool is a game
Humans define your status as you slowly become mundane
GET IN THE TRUCK!
DO YOU HAVE YOUR KEY?
BECAUSE I HAVE TO GO!
THERE’S SOMEONE I HAVE TO MEET
NO, I CAN’T TELL YOU ANYTHING
OR HOW LONG I’LL BE.
BUT, DON’T YOU WORRY,
I PROMISE YOU CAN TRUST ME.
