A Year
A year has come
And a year has gone
Time passes slowly
And drags on swiftly
With all that happened
I am bound to forget-
The year, the kiss
And the process of falling
Yet I remember all
-Even the slightest touching
Surely, as the next year comes
I’ll have attempts to forget
Or maybe, fool myself that I did
Because this futile memory
Won’t set the cages free
Yes, it all happened in a year
A year of Love
And of lesser Fear
-But not enough
To brush away the tears
And it all happened
In a Year
