It is this time of year again.
I can hear my heart beating so hard my chest might explode.
I hear the steps in the halls getting louder and louder.
Flip flip of the text book your reading.
* Rriiiing * *Rriiiing*
I'm serious this time.
*Rriiiing* No False alarm. I'm really going to fucking - Answer Goddamit !
We wonder, we ponder how tragedy must feel
Is it like burning or a pure sensation
With every waking moment you feel broken and helpless
As you weep in sorrow you think of all the good times and laughter
Angels have dropped out of the sky
Leaving black plumes in their wake
The feathers from their wings
Have left tears on the faces of those who loved them
And lost them.
I lay upon a rubbery bed,
My mind fuzzy with lethargy,
And ponder what was in my head,
When I had decided not to sleep,
And that's when they dragged her in,
Undying feelings,
Never rested eyes,
All these feelings that fit in my life.
Academics, Home, Chores, Parents, Love, Divorce, and College,
A never ending stream.
Thoughts and feelings,
Don't try and tell me who I am
I get enough of it by society
don't judge because "you know"
maybe we are the same size but not same shoes
don't assume we're all delenquents
some of us just want help
Sand in my pockets, skipping off my fingers, and stuck in my eyelashes, under my tongue and between my teeth.
Just because
4.0 knows the equations of quantum mechanics
Doesn't mean that he is smarter than 2.0
1.0 might not know the terminal side of an angle
You Great Dividing Line, you stand so strongBetween two priorities of my life:Do I up my GPA and succeed in academicsOr do I find myself in Christ?
