The scars are all over. I think about all of the pain. But also about how much I've gained. Listening to hate, People getting raped. Aiming to succeed, Passing up my problems with a gigantic lead.  
I’ve heard America’s laughter and see smiles on their face I’ve heard America’s words to others, a disgrace I’ve felt Americas sorrow and anger from their mothers I’ve seen America’s racism and how one can act toward others I’ve witnessed America
Life is a gift, Or so they say. Babies are born And everyone is happy. But why are they happy When life is unfair? Why do we wish this unfair life Unto innocent babes.
Welcome to the future where everything we learned while on our educational journey we're not used to, though years spent, loans acquired, and sacrifices made there was really nothing that could prepare us for this day.
Recess seems so long ago now. In less than a year I move on again.

You tried so hard but you never quite were who you wanted to be, feeling so unsure. There were times you wanted to let it all go there were days you wanted to be best in show.
I sit. I wait. I can hear nothing, but there is something in the silence. Cries. Not in pain, but in longing. They long for the time when they could smile without wondering how soon it would end.
Movements, they start off with people. Racism. Sexism. Prejudism. We live with 'em, Sit next to them on the bus. Glared at. Snared at, listen to them while they throw hate at, us.
