rain drops
falling on waiting heads
some think of the
inconvenience
but just think
of the Universe
giving us such
Little Wonders
created just
for you
In first grade, I was the bright girl with almond eyes,My eyes quite brown, even amber in the sunrise,
My skin always tan, bronze from summers of swimming,And the endless hiking,
Many people look up to the night skybut they always look with a blind eye.If only they would open up their eyes. They would see the beauty in the sky andthey would realize what beauty needs to rise. All around us; So much beautybut none of us seem
Today,
I challenge you
To look farther than yourself.
Your "world" is only but a small
Fractions of what is perceived and felt.
Beyond you,
Is a whole other universe in which
Look at the girl who carries such grace no one can critique.
Look at the boy who falls for her, regardless of how bleak or meek she is.
Now look at the child who kicks the bucket, but then at the one who builds a castle with it.
i was born a stoner
lyrically on one but I’m sober
over
popping up eventually like I was a gopher
I’m searching
but I can’t find meanings
I stared fear in the eyes and asked it how was its day our staring match, lastedfor about five minutes and I refused to look away I am bigger I am not afraid I said, as I trembled in my legs
Look
Look at everything around you
Do you see it?
See it all
From the way the ocean kisses the sand,
To the way the moon follows the sun
Isn't it awesome?
Look
Eyes are our passageways to see the world
In one simple movement, eyes reveal a kingdom of color and life from a realm of darkness
When you look at me like that
I feel like I can fly
I can see my freedom
I feel like I can touch the sky
With you I can lose myself
I can do what I want
Nobody makes me feel like you
The way they live, eat, and dress
It's sad to look, for you do not care
I like to look because I truly care
Do you ever think of those people? I do.
Watching them steal or beg for a dollar or two.
"I walk down these streets and see the flowers line the wall,
I walk down these streets and see the buildings grow so tall,
I would enjoy them, trust me, I have the time,
look at me
my outfit is trendy and preppy
my smile always reaches one ear to anther
LOOK AT ME
look at my shoes
my hair, tied back high as the sky in a ponay tail
Have you ever looked up at the world and said what a shame?
Have you ever sat back and thought this world was a game?
Wondering why people are dying every 10 seconds,
and getting shot and stabbed every 3.
Look at me
Not just on the surface
Of the mirror
Look at my heart
And my mind
I pretend to be the person
You think you see
But is that me?
Who chooses to be happy everyday
A Look Through My Eyes. Outside stroll, what do I see? I see the charisma, the spirit, of New York City. Skylines, and skyscrapers out in the distance. My oh my what a sight to witness.
There is a reason for everything I do
And that reason?
If only you knew
Every step
Every word
Has purpose!
To be heard.
