You push away and leave behind

Fades to nothing when you're near

One, two stars
And the sweep of a cloud across the half-lit moon
The red eyes of the factory towers blink slowly to signal they're alright...
I heard a song not known but years before
That delicately threaded through my ears
It floated gently from the darkened door
And soon...

With sentences that make clear sense
And verses all in even time

We gather around you and watch the stars
You swirl and leap and reach for the sky
