Poems from clarinet14
I'm finally here.
I've waited,
Day after day,
And year after year.
To sit in a class,
Where an instructor is not concerned
With keeping up...
I need to be her
Or maybe be you
Whichever, just help me
Conspire in blue
A dark, navy cover
To hide my first name
If ever you saw it...
I write to speak the words
that my mouth won't let me say
I write to reveal the goddess
hiding in my soul today
I write to release the hurt...
The truth, I fear
I can't possibly say
For now, my dear
Too far I did stray
From life, from you
From everything free
With nothing to do
And...
I am blessed
To have been born
Inside a place
Previously torn
But now repaired
With the thinnest thread
I remember this
As I go to bed...
