You're One in a Million

Sat, 12/09/2017 - 13:39 -- i.b.n

(This is a reverse poem. Read starting from left to right all the way to the bottom of the poem. Then, read from left to right from the bottom of the poem to the start of the poem!)

You must never change yourself for anybody

but the rest of the world doesn't know that

being the way you are is not enough

It's a lie that

being the true you is wonderful

I realize this may be a shock but

loving someone else other than yourself will make you happy

Once upon a time someone said

that the way you look, will not please anybody

I refuse to believe

that loving yourself will make all the difference

In thirty years, I will tell my children

you must strive to fit in

And the whole world disagrees that

being happy and being you is the best

This poem is about:
Our world
