I would say that writing is

bleeding from the soul

a release of ideas from the back of the mind

an escape for oneself

where judgment cannot take its toll.

And this is true in some ways

but

in truth

I will say that writing is

bleeding from my soul

so other souls can heal me.

And releasing ideas from the back of my mind

to see that they are not only mine.

An escape for myself?

No, instead a plea to you

to make me stronger

highlighting my flaws,

to fill me with warmth

at beauty there I did not see,

to be kind with your judgment

and unsparing with your praise.

So in the end

I write for me

by writing for you.
