What I Feel

Your absence hurts me

Why can’t you be by my side?

Mentally killing me

Why are people cruel?

Insecurities haunt me

Please just let me be

Leave me be, I said!

Anxiety I need not

Depression follows

Stress is an old friend

He comes knocking at worst times

He laughs at failure

Someone rescue me

Someone save me from my mind

Will you comfort me?

Holding back her tears

She smiles, though blue eyes show fear

Fear of emotion

Emotions are gone

I cannot feel your hatred

Comfortably numb

Darkness surrounds me

Little tears escape blue eyes

Silently drip down

Soft pillow now soaked

Nothing left behind sad eyes

Sleep now, though you hurt

Dream of what will be

Hope for better tomorrow

Stay strong, know you’re loved
