Untitled #19

A simple butterfly before you start

The sweaty palms and warming up.

All your worries and fears come flying in

While the audience is waiting for you to sing.

You are thirty steps away

From standing on center stage.

Then the band starts to lay

Your fears all then fly away.

You sing and it's like your on top

There is nothing going to make you stop.

People screaming out your name

This is no longer a childhood game.

You sing and jump to the songs

The onces you wrote when you were young.

Then there is a sign being held for all to see

"It's time to wake up silly, for it's only a dream."
