I'm scared.
Mainly of the future and what it holds
I have no idea where I'm going or who I want to be
Reality seems like such a dark, unwavering place.
Choking off one's individuality and slapping them with the rules of society.
That's not the place I want to be - caged, isolated from one's true ability.
The place I'd rather have in mind is a peaceful one.
With such awe-striking beauty and beautiful clover fields as far as the naked eye could see
That is the place I'm meant to be.
Not here, in this cruel, cold world you've deemed as 'normal',
But there, the one place I can set my soul a soar.
Unafraid of judgement, foul words or striking blows.
Unafraid to let my true colors show.
That is what the future holds for me
whether it is by days or by years
'Til then I'll wait here wistfully
Wonderfully, patiently and faithfully, 'til you've shown your face to thee.
