The Thread that Ties Me to You

Wed, 04/08/2015 - 12:42 -- Severia

The thread that ties me to you

Is soaked in ether and stretches even deeper.

This thread is of the worst kind of blue,

Even though it was your favorite hue.

It's purple in the right light,

But only to those who understood your plight.

The thread that ties me to you

Is a jumbled string between a kitten's paws.

It's tangled and severely matted,

Just like my hair you always patted.

The thread isn't tied around my heart.

It's tied in the place you chose to part.

It's tied to a tree,

That I will never forgive for taking you from me.
